Harvest time

We were given some sunflowers at our community garden. They boys are excited to dry them out and give the seeds to the birds.

I canned some salsa. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. There is some satisfaction knowing most of the ingredients came from our garden.

Jager corn fest had a fun twist this year. Uncle Adam hid a corn cob in one of the bags of corn. It will be discovered later in the year by one of the families when we eat our bags of frozen corn. The lucky family gets a prize. WoooHooo!
